INTRODUCTION TO STRUCTURAL DYNAMICS TRAINING OVERVIEW

To strengthen the expertise of structural engineers in earthquake-resistant design, DDC organized a specialized training titled Introduction to Structural Dynamics, conducted by Professor Dr. Raquib Ahsan. The program focused on the behavior of structures under dynamic loading and introduced the core principles that guide safer, more resilient earthquake design.

The objectives of this six-day training were as follows:

Ø  To equip professionals with the knowledge of structural response under dynamic loading conditions and the theoretical basis of earthquake-resistant design.

Ø  To introduce advanced analytical methods such as time history and response spectrum analysis for practical application in seismic design.

Ø  To enhance the capabilities of design engineers in ensuring structural safety and compliance with international standards.

Through six intensive sessions, participants gained a solid foundation in structural dynamics and its practical application in earthquake-resistant design. By solving real-world analysis problems and engaging in periodic evaluations, they strengthened both their technical skills and confidence in applying advanced seismic design methods.
